Hi,

I have a problem with OpenDoPE Word Add-In.
As mention here, I have posted a new topic here but the forum activity seems to be pretty low.
In order to avoid that topic to be forgotten, I repost it here.
Hi,

I'm experiencing big issue with OpenDoPE.
It's not anymore present in the Office Ribbon Menu.
I've uninstalled it to reinstall it but the reinstall fails and not only on my computer.
Here is a screenshot of it : http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/22 ... error.png/
Under the "details" button I can read this : http://pastebin.com/yFKnzQnN
A colleague of mine tried too and get something else

Do you have any idea to get it works again ?

Thanks

Hi, I think that will be because the 3 year code-signing certificate expired the other day.

I have jumped through all the comodo admin hoops which were required to renew it, and so am looking to publish a download with the fresh certificate later this week, if you can bear with me until then...

Just to let you know publishing the new version will be delayed until I can install the newly issued certificate; I'm currently waiting on Comodo support, since it seems Chrome didn't save the private key at the time I requested the certificate :-(.

In the meantime, you can force the existing one to work, as follows:

- remove it (Add/Remove Programs..)

- add the following registry key: \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETFramework\Security\TrustManager\PromptingLevel

add string value "Internet", value "Enabled"

see further http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library ... 90%29.aspx

(reboot?)

- run the OpenDoPE setup.exe again

I tried this (on a Win XP) machine; it worked for me.

OK, the AddIn signed with a fresh certificate is now available at http://www.opendope.org/downloads/autho ... /setup.exe

Feedback on whether you need to uninstall the old one first would be appreciated. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff369721.aspx

cheers .. Jason

We've applied for a fresh certificate, and the CA is in the process of issuing it.

Once we have it, we'll publish the addin using the fresh certificate. I'll update this post to let you know.

OK, the certificate came through yesterday (what a painful process!), and I've now published freshly signed versions of both the "advanced" and "friendly" add-ins. Let me know how you go...
