{"id":247,"date":"2013-11-26T19:36:22","date_gmt":"2013-11-26T09:36:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.docx4java.org\/blog\/?p=247"},"modified":"2013-11-27T18:30:33","modified_gmt":"2013-11-27T08:30:33","slug":"docx4j-3-0-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.docx4java.org\/blog\/2013\/11\/docx4j-3-0-released\/","title":{"rendered":"docx4j 3.0 released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On behalf of everyone who has contributed to docx4j, Plutext is pleased to announce that version 3 was released today.<\/p>\n<p>You can get it from <a href=\"http:\/\/search.maven.org\/#browse%7C-2112004733\">Maven Central<\/a>, or from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.docx4java.org\/docx4j\/\">http:\/\/www.docx4java.org\/docx4j\/<\/a> (the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.docx4java.org\/docx4j\/docx4j-3.0.0.jar\">jar<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.docx4java.org\/docx4j\/docx4j-3_0\/dependencies\/\">dependencies<\/a>, or everything including documentation <a href=\"http:\/\/www.docx4java.org\/docx4j\/docx4j-3_0.zip\">zipped up<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Source code is available at <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/plutext\/docx4j\">GitHub<\/a> or from the Maven Central link above. \u00a0Javadoc is at Maven Central.<\/p>\n<p>For what you need to know about docx4j 3.0, please see <a href=\"\/blog\/2013\/10\/docx4j-3-0-what-you-need-to-know\/\">this post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>XHTML Import<\/strong> stuff is now a separate project (since it and its dependencies are LGPL, not ASLv2 like docx4j).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.docx4java.org\/docx4j\/docx4j-3_0\/optional\/ImportXHTML\/\">three jars<\/a> you need (docx4j-ImportXHTML, xhtmlrenderer, and iText) are included for convenience in the zip file above. \u00a0You can delete them if you don&#8217;t need or want XHTML import.<\/li>\n<li>or you can get it from <a href=\"http:\/\/search.maven.org\/#browse%7C-292919982\">Maven Central<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>docx4j 3.0 uses <strong>slf4j for logging<\/strong>. \u00a0For convenience, log4j is the default implementation. \u00a0A follow-up post will explain more about logging config.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to everyone who has helped to make this release our best yet!<\/p>\n<p>If you have questions pertaining to the use of docx4j, please post them in our forum, or on StackOverflow (rather than in comments to this post).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On behalf of everyone who has contributed to docx4j, Plutext is pleased to announce that version 3 was released today.
