I need to do a project which needs to read/write tables after a certain heading in docx file. I googled a bit and got to know docx4j is most powerful java library for processing docx files. Could you please tell me if docx4j is capable to search for a certain heading, and then read and write tables after that heading?

I'm currently deploying docx4j library to generate MS-Word and PDF documents from a .dotx document created with MS Office. Now I'm facing an issue that it loses all style formattings inside the paragraph if it contains "MERGEFIELD" placeholder.

The following is the sample dotx file before processing with MailMerger class:

I've been learning docx4j and have finally got simple headers, body and tables to be changed through a simple template however the last piece of the puzzle is there is many repeated sections within the document denoted by something similar to the below (so there would be multiple tests and multiple machines failing and possibly more that one nested repeated sections

I am using XWPFDocument to create a word document.I am able to write my data to it.But still not getting success in writing the hyperlink to the document.Can anybody please help me out?

I looked through the forums and after reading a few posts about installation problems, I think I added all the necessary files to run docx4j but still get a lot of errors and program crashes. I am currently using Eclipse as my IDE.

I downloaded all the necessary .jar files for the project (I even tried to import every .jar file in the docx4j-2.8.1 package) and added them to my project via Java Build Path ...

i have a list with a place holder value and i am replacing that value with my dynamic value , but the new contents are not adding to placeholder , rather on last page.

I am creating a default footer for every section where it's not present. Here's the code:

I am using CR+LF characters in my custom XML part, which is mapped to content controls. I can use the Word 2007 Content Control Toolkit to edit and confirm that I have working XML with CR+LF characters. I can open the document in Word and confirm that the new lines are shown in the document.

For some reason though, when I use docx4j to do the substitution on the same XML, and save the file ...
