I am new to docx4j,

i am wondering can i make certain parts of docx files as read only by password protection?

most of the document is editable, only certain parts we want to make it as read only to avoid accidental edits.,

I'm fairly new at the whole java / eclipse thing so I'm sure it's a silly mistake I'm making, but I am stuck. I downloaded the getting started document, and first tried to download the 2.7.1 binaries, and test the Parts List example. Docx4j can convert html to word ML
Ex:

I've encountered a situation where a human-generated Word Document contains multiple bookmarks with the same name. This causes a duplicate ID error in the generated FO when attempting to transform it to PDF.

The extracted fragment of flat opc xml may look like this:

Code: Select all: <w:bookmarkStart w:id="1" w:name="d0e124"/> <w:bookmarkEnd w:id="1"/> ... <w:bookmarkStart w:id="0" w:name="d0e124"/> <w:bookmarkEnd w:id="0"/>

When this document is transformed to FO for PDF the XSLT generates two fo:inline's with the same id:
<fo:inline ...

Hi,

I want to edit a ppt that has charts and some table with numeric data ($ and number). The charts that I have to create are fixed/static. I need to just edit the data through a program dynamically.

I am never used dox4j and exploring if it suffice my requirements.

Appreciate if someone can share some sample program and a link to documentation for dox4j.

In word there is feature it insert one doc(pdf,xls,pdf,jog,png etc. ) in other doc .
This can be done using as in MS-word as :

Go to Insert ribbon –> select ‘Insert object’ ( it is at right hand side) : this will open pop-up –> select ‘create from file’ tab –>
–> ...

I need to insert one docx file into another docx file. The result is hoped to be similar with MS Word "insert text from file". Can MergeDocx do this? Can I get an evaluation copy of MergeDocx?

This is driving me crazy, so I'd appreciate some guidance. Briefly, I am loading in a pre-existing Excel 2007 file, and looking to add some data in a couple of worksheets: just basic content row-by-row.
