docx4j 17.0.5 was released 5 September 2026

docx4j now builds on Microsoft Windows (in addition to Linux, OSX)

PDF via XSL FO - layout now follows Word's rules by default: line breaking, line height and placement, tab stops, paragraph spacing at page, section and table-cell edges, footnotes, list labels, tables, columns and kerning now follow the rules Word applies.

docx4j-export-fo on the module path: xml-apis:xml-apis:1.4.01 removed.
