i was asking how to extract numbering correctly from docx as i was depending on checking
if ( ppr.getNumPr() != null) which is not reliable

I'm new to both Java programming as well as pptx4j.
So please forgive me if this question is a trivial one.

I used the code generator to generate a table I made in the form of a JAXBElement object.
Now, how do I add this object to my slide?

This is what I was trying to do:

in my team we are already using pptx4j for creating slides.

Therefore I'd like very much to use xlsx4j for our XLS-Reports.


I am having trouble adding a picture, tough. I saw the thread in 'Adding images to XLS' in this same forum, but there is code missing.
Could you provide some short cookbook ("you need a Drawing, of course a spreadsheet and a..") or code snippets to get me and maybe others ...

I seem to recall that there was some issue in the past with building via Maven when it came to xhtmlrenderer. Can't for the life of me remember what it was / how to fix it, but having cloned docx4j from Github I am now unable to build it. Normally I would issue this command from the docx4j directory: "mvn install -Dmaven.test.skip=true"

… however, the build fails reporting the following:

I just tried a very simple case to use MailMerger but encountered an exception which I can not understand.
Basically in my template I have 3 merge fields. When I author this template, I switch on the spellcheck and rsid in word, because I want to test if the MailMerger still works in this case.
The result is, if I call VariablePrepare before calling MailMerger, there is always an nullpointer exception from FieldRef. ...

I have found out I can easily create underlined using

Is there a simple way to create underlined text or centered text like this? I have no xml (which i think that is right?) experience besides some minor android stuff, so i am not too sure. THanks in advanced

I am trying to convert docx to pdf using ConvertOutPDF sample. We have many form elements in docx file like checkbox, dropdown,radio, form text..etc these are not able to convert into pdf

When it is converted into PDF I get following message in converted pdf

Is docx4j support form element? If yes please suggest how we can configure

This is just a post for the benefit to whom is experiencing the full GC issue caused by embedding images in docx.

explicitly invokded System.gc() which caused high CPU load and performance issue. To avoid high CPU load/frequent full GC, better to use
public static BinaryPartAbstractImage createImagePart(
OpcPackage opcPackage,
Part sourcePart, File imageFile)
